Description

Since the very beginning, Tenderly has been an engineering first organization, having 4 technical co-founders. Most of the tools and processes are catered towards engineers, from the product grooming sessions all the way to owning the whole delivery process.

Right now, the organization recognizes 4 engineering disciplines (subject to change):

  • UX Engineering – Responsible for creating all the UI-related code and infrastructure.
  • Platform Engineering – Responsible for core platform capabilities: low-level facilities, internal services and self-service infrastructure.
  • Product Engineering – Responsible for productizing the core platform services and working closely with the Platform Engineering team.
  • Site Reliability Engineering – Responsible for building and maintaining monitoring, tracing, and other introspection facilities as well as establishing and building great operational tools and processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building out the Tenderly platform and solving a wide range of technical and architectural challenges along the way.
  • Working on many interesting but difficult problems ranging from low-level work on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) internals all the way to high-level data pipelines processing thousands of transactions per second, indexing terabytes of data, all wrapped up in robust and intuitive interfaces.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership including guiding and coaching of team members on product architecture and all other technical contributions.
  • Lead technical and procedural changes in order to grow the technical expertise of the engineering team and maintain quality standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration together with engineering and product in order to help shape the product roadmap.
  • Establish a feedback culture within the team and provide regular performance feedback to team members and enable the engineering team continuous support in their professional growth.
  • Participate in the hiring process for engineering teams and educate team members to conduct productive and efficient technical interviews.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical skills with a healthy attitude towards software engineering, a problem-solving mentality and the desire to build products that help people across the world.
  • 5 + years of engineering experience in SaaS/PaaS companies.
  • Experience managing high-performing engineering teams would be highly beneficial.
  • Developed communication and coaching skills, with a great passion for mentoring and guiding individuals.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment dedicated to efficient productivity.
  • Nice to have experience with: Building and scaling complex distributed systems, Multi-cloud environments, Kubernetes, Microservices architectures, Security.
