Developers Conference

CODEstantine 1 was the first conference that exceeded all expectations and became the largest conference in the South of Serbia for experienced developers. A first idea was to make a big community of developers in Niš and gather them together in one place where they can meet each other, exchange their experience and knowledge and hear about new tech in the IT world. Conference held on March 18 and 19, 2016 in Nis, in the "Deli" space for creative work. Under CODEstantine 1.0, the first day was dedicated to Game Development, and the second Javascript. Dejan is a master of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering with more than 20 years working in the IT industry. He started as a software developer and then evolved passing from Software Manager, Head of Development, Director of Engineering to Vice President of Engineering. He is a passionate code writer, Agile advocate, OSS, and developers groups contributor.

TALK DESCRIPTION

The real value of IoT applications comes from analyzing data from multiple sensors and making decisions based on this data.
Across industries, fundamental cultural and organizational shifts will be required to implement IoT and develop the skills needed for data-driven decision-making.
JavaScript community is one of the most active and growing one. As it is used in almost all domains nowadays JavaScript becomes “lingua franca” in modern software development.
Based on today’s JavaScript usage, tools and frameworks there will be no IoT solution that will not be JavaScript based in some shape of form.

Miloš Bošković

Web Programmer

Miloš completed his basic studies in computer science in Niš, and then a master's degree in England. He thought he wanted to be an IT manager. He tried his hand at IT auditing but realized that it was not for them, nor that they were for him, so he turned to pure programming and stayed there to this day. He has been freelance from home since 2012 - he has enjoyed getting up every day at 10. He currently works as a Lead Frontend Engineer for a startup in London and loves the job he does.

Srđan Ivanović

Lead eCommerce Consultants at EY

Milan Mladenović and Srđan Ivanović are young and very talented Game Developers of Media4 Studio who are currently working on a new Augmented Reality game that will be interesting to all who love challenges and dynamism.

Srđan talked about Augmented Reality, AR Toolkit, and the application of AR in the gaming industry, as well as about working on the new game they did in the Unreal 4 engine.

Goran Lalić

Game & web developer

Goran is an experienced game developer, who started baking the craft on Commodore 64, has three published games under his belt, and occasionally holds workshops and lectures at Unity Serbia Meetup group events.

TALK DESCRIPTION

Goran presented the craft of making games – skills that you will have to build, tools that you will be able to use, what the process of making a game looks like, and what mistakes beginners and young studios usually make. He paied special attention to his branch – programming.

Nikola Stojanović

Professor of 3D animation and multimedia

Nikola teaches computer graphics at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis, module Electronics / Multimedia Technologies. He has more than ten years of experience in the game industry. He is a collaborator on numerous projects of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis. He organized a large number of guest lectures at the Faculty of Electronics, of which we would single out the guest appearances of Petar Jovović, founder of Crater Studio from Belgrade, and Marko Petković, Peaksel Studio from Niš.

TALK DESCRIPTION

This topic explained an overview of student papers and projects in Autodesk Maya. It was also about low poly modeling, techniques for photographing texturing objects, normal maps, and textures for physically-based materials.
